PhD Workshop

The International Sustainable Development Research Society (ISDRS) and the University of Messina would like to welcome early career researchers, including doctoral and master students, to present their work in a one-day PhD Workshop to be held on June 12, 2018 (the day before the main Conference starts), at the University of Messina, Department of Economics.

The aim of the workshop is to support early career researchers working on sustainable development reated topics by providing them with an arena for discussion of their on-going research projects with peers and senior academics. Any early career researcher attending the 24th ISDRS Conference, whose abstract was accepted and paid the conference fee, is eligible to register for this PhD workshop.

People interested in attending the PhD workshop should send an application e-mail by April 15, 2018 to with the subject "PhD Workshop ISDRS 2018".

The application e-mail should contain the following information:

  1. Title of the research work;
  2. Author name and affiliation;
  3. Conference track;
  4. The scope (MSc, PhD or other type of research) and goal of the research work (50-100 words);
  5. The main research question(s) (50-100 words);
  6. Main challenges faced by your research until now (50-150 words);
  7. The main expectations regarding input from the colleagues and senior researchers during the workshop (50-150 words).

The number of participants is limited to 40.
